Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes how refunds, cancellations, and billing adjustments work for the Dynabase Service, operated by Stencil Computing Private Limited ("Stencil", "we", "us", or "our"). This Policy is incorporated into the Terms of Service and your subscription agreement.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • Monthly and annual subscriptions to the Service
  • One-off purchases of credits or other ancillary services made through Dynabase

For enterprise customers operating under a separately negotiated Master Services Agreement, the refund and cancellation terms set out in that agreement take precedence over this Policy.

2. Subscription Model

The Service is offered on a subscription basis with two billing cycles:

  • Monthly subscription — billed in advance, on the same date each month
  • Annual subscription — billed in advance, for a twelve-month term

Available plans, included features, and pricing are described at sign-up.

3. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial of the Service. The duration and scope of the trial will be communicated to you at sign-up and may vary by plan.

During the free trial, you may cancel at any time at no charge. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will continue under the plan you selected and you will be charged the applicable fees.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time, from within the Service or by contacting billing@dynabase.ai.

On cancellation:

  • For monthly subscriptions: you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current monthly billing cycle. You will not be charged for the following month.
  • For annual subscriptions: you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current annual term. You will not be charged for the following annual term.

No partial refunds are issued for the unused portion of a billing cycle following cancellation. See Section 5 below.

5. Refunds — General Policy

All fees paid for the Service are non-refundable, except as expressly described in this Policy or as required by applicable law.

This means:

  • Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once charged.
  • Annual subscription fees are non-refundable once charged.
  • One-off credit purchases are non-refundable.
  • Fees for any portion of a billing cycle remaining after cancellation are non-refundable.

6. Refunds — Exceptional Circumstances

We may, at our sole discretion, offer a refund in exceptional circumstances — including:

  • A duplicate or mistaken charge attributable to our billing systems
  • A material defect in the Service that we are unable to remedy within a reasonable period and that prevents you from making meaningful use of the Service
  • A regulatory or legal requirement that we issue a refund
  • Other circumstances that we, in our sole discretion, determine warrant a refund

Requests for refund under this Section must be sent to billing@dynabase.ai with sufficient detail to allow us to evaluate the request. We reserve the right to grant or deny any such request, and any decision is final.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period, typically within ten business days of approval, subject to processing times of the payment provider and your bank.

7. Credits

One-off purchases of credits are final and non-refundable. Unused credits remain usable for twelve months from the date of purchase, after which they expire. Credits are non-transferable.

8. Failed Payments

If a scheduled payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. You will be notified by email and prompted to update your payment method. If payment cannot be successfully collected within a reasonable cure period, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service in accordance with the Terms of Service.

9. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card provider (a "chargeback") without first attempting to resolve the issue with us, we may suspend or terminate your account pending resolution. We encourage you to contact billing@dynabase.ai before initiating a chargeback so that we can investigate and respond.

10. Taxes

All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST), which will be added to the invoice as required by law. Refunds, where issued, will be net of any applicable taxes already remitted to the relevant authorities.

11. Changes to Pricing

We may change pricing from time to time. Changes will not apply to your current paid billing cycle. We will provide at least thirty days' notice of price changes that will affect your renewal. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated Policy will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
